    Hi all

    Im new to the site and hoping you can help us out. I have a hotpoint TDL30P and the drum assembly has sheared off and could do with knowing how to replace – and if an easy job for a female.

    Hi Lou, nothing to do with gender, drum replacement on these is not really a DIY job.
    If your fluff filter slots into a metal duct around the door then what you really need is a complete drum conversion kit. This includes a revised plastic front duct, new drum, fans, stats, seals, filter, back panel etc, etc. In short the whole thing has been modified. Cost of drum kit is around £50.00 + vat, it involves a complete strip down of the machine.

    If you could give us the full serial number of your machine we could be more precise, but if it has a metal duct, the conversion kit is the only long term cure.
