We have a Carlton CF1W Dishwasher the label says Serial N.o 448 S/N 001872 Made in China. We have lost the manual for this machine.
I appreciate that these were made for Curry’s and info on them is scarce.

The other day the machine didn’t drain, on investigation the filter was blocked, this was cleared and the washer then drained.
Unfortunately since then the machine no longer fills with water, I have checked everything I can see and also powered the dishwasher off and on in the hope of resetting a safety cut off but to no avail.

any help that can be given would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Maxine

The standard problem with these Chinese machines is the tray under the machine flooding. Unplug it, get some towels down and slowly lean the machine back. This will drain the water and reset the flood protection system.

To reduce the possibility of re-occurence, stop using multi-function tablets as they froth. A single function powder or Fairy Bursts will give best results along with salt and rinse-aid. Finally, once it’s off and running, do not open the door before the programme finishes.

Thank god I came across this post!

No matter what I did, all the dishwasher was doing was trying to endlessly pump empty.

I goto put my hand up admitting opening the machine to put that forgotten tea spoon in.

Many many thanks for this gem of knowledge. Dish washer now working a treat after tipping it onto its back feet for 30 seconds closely followed by a mop and bucket 😀
