    My Indesit WE14 has broken down for the 18th (yes…you read that correctly..eighteenth) time in 5 years.

    Am waiting for new machine (not an Indesit!!) to be delivered.

    In the meantime….could someone advise me as to how I access/clean the pump?

    Behind kick panel at the front. Have some towels handy as water will come out.

    Have located it, but can’t shift it at all….what should I do??

    Should turn anticlockwise. If there is so much debris in there the complete pump assembly has to be stripped or the filter bung forced and broken and then replaced. Machine will have to be fully empty to do this. lower waste hose into bucket to gravity drain water. Unplug power before doing so. Otherwise try Repairs@ for an engineer.

    Bloomin’ twisty thing has snapped off….still in place though…I can’t pull it out.
    Any more suggestions?…Will it flip out if I get something under it??

    It will probably damage the sealing faces of the filter. Would possibly then require new pump and filter assy.
