    Went to this appliance about 8 days ago and the evaporator was blocked. Switched it of for 36 hrs to defrost and its been OK since until now – blocked again. Defrosted evap and fitted a new defrost timer and fired it up.

    The fan and compressor run OK with good cooling in the freezer but there is no cold air blowing through to the fridge unless the freezer door is open ? I would appreciate any suggestions / info on this.

    if its the one i think there is an air channel on the back of cabinet directly below the evaporator this will be frozen

    Ok – thanks for that. I discounted a blockage as the air flows through the outlet with the freezer door open but i will certainly check it.
