ParticipantI have a Whirpool American style Fridge Freezer Model Number S20BRWW20/A/G. Over the past couple of weeks I have noticed the fridge compartment not getting cold, I have already had one engineer out who basically got the hoover out and hoovered around the compressor, this made no difference, the engineer has been back today and can’t find the problem. The service numbers are 858615215011 and 110412021239

I have been advised it is most likely the diverter which diverts cold air from the freezer into the fridge, sounds logical to me, does anybody have any other suggestions.

Either the motorised baffle ( which if it’s frozen in the closed position should give an error “d” on the fridge display ), port on left hand side of middle drawer in fridge is blocked with ice, fan in the freezer not running or evaporator is iced up with drain hole possibly blocked with ice.

Have checked fridge, port on left hand side of middle drawer is iced up but in the open position, does this just take cold air from freezer, it has two positions vegetables which closes the vent and meat which opens it, I guess the meat setting allows more cold air into the meat drawer.
If port is iced up does this indicate a fault? There is no fault d indicated on the panel, the fan in the freezer is running.

The motorised baffle was Iced up in the closed position, have removed, defrosted it and replaced it. If it ices up again should I replace it? 💡
