    Hi Forum,

    I hope that someone may be able to help me.

    Type B11

    This oven was on yesterday when the entire house electrics tripped. Everyting else came back on OK apart from the oven.

    It seems entirely dead – no light, fan or heating.

    The 3 pin plug part of the oven wall socket works fine. This seems to indicate that the socket and the fuse in the fuse box are fine.

    The trouble appears to be in the oven itself.

    Is there a fuse inside the oven?
    Could the problem lie elsewhere?

    If anybody has a manual to send me – that would be a great help.

    Hi Andy,

    Mains terminal block is all I’m gonna say. 😉

    If that’s okay then timer or commutator switch are likely candidates.

    There’s no internal fuse on that machine that I am aware of and I answered the other question above.

    A manual won’t help much as all you’ll get is an actual user manual, if one still exists, which won’t help you here.

    Exactly I don’t know but it will be at the end of the mains lead inside the oven.

    Hi K,

    Thanks for your help.

    I managed to pinpoint the fault down to a dodgy wall socket. I have replaced this and the cooker now works fine.

    Unfortunately, in the process I managed to damage the oven door handle. This is a 1 piece plastic handle that fixes to the door with 4 screws.

    Any ideas where I can buy a replacement?
