I have just been to a WD440 with a strange fault.

The machine is only connected to the cold supply, with the hot not connected, I don’t think this relevant to the problem.

On a nrmal wash program (Prog F),the machine fills to level and then the motor cuts in for less than half a second, waits for 30 seconds and then repeats.

It pumps and spins fine. There is signs of overfoaming and water on the floor which could indicate the machine may have been spinning on wash.

The machine has just been moved and had previously been installed in a damp environment.

Am I right to follow my instincts that the module is goosed?

Any help with this will be much appreciated.

Thanks mate, I hate not being able to diagnose the fault. I think I will send them to Hotpoint this time.

    Thanks again
