E1 indicates a water leak and that, very likely, the sensor in the base has been tripped.

Not a bad machine really so I wouldn’t scrap it just because of a leak or a faulty water sensor. 😉

    Hi DIY,

Pretty much there’s not enough information to be giving you a lot of help. 😕

Have you tried to reset it yet? If you search the forums you’ll find out how to do that.

    Hi,
Tried resetting but this did not cure fault.
The machine drains at the beginning of the cycle which is probably normal, it fills and sounds like it is working normally but after a while say 5 mins stops washing makes a short bleep noise then continues it will do this for ages and note the water is not being heated. I have checked for voltage at the element and is only present momentarily on each cycle. Heating element resistance / continuity ok , base thermostat ok and I think the door ntc temperature sensor also ok

    Help!

When it starts to beep, if you open the door, you should find LED 5 (the RH one lit) and a combination of the other 4 flashing. Tell us what it is.

Re: smeg dishwasher (dwi 710 E1model) faulty!

    Hi,
On b10 programme machine sounds like its circulating/pumping ok, after about 20 mins stops circulating/washing and makes two short beep sounds and then at the same time stars washing again, opened door the only light on is the one for the programme I selected. Just before the machine stops each time one click then another click can be heard shortly after machine stops circulating/washing makes two bleeps and then carries on and repeats about every 35 seconds .Could it be a faulty power/heater relay on circuit board? More info, water reached about 26 C
after about 2 hrs and is still running now! 29C after 3 hrs programme still running!

    Help!!!!! any ideas anybody?
