Talk about bizarre fault. I might just run this for a week, see what your possible answers are and see (which I doubt) if any of you have had a fault like this. May even help you one day.
Called out to a detached week-end bungalow that their Zanussi washing machine floods. Can only go there weekends that is the only time they are there. I don’t do weekends but I regrettably made an exception, as it was half an hours drive away, but as the Mrs was out shopping I thought I would do it. Cut a long storey short I went there and no problems couldn’t even get a drip let alone a flood.
Every Saturday for the next SEVEN WEEKS I got a recall, used the machine Saturday morning and every time it flooded. Every time I got there Saturday, an hour or two later…nothing. Always worked perfectly well after the first wash for the duration of the weekend but every first wash it flooded.
I cracked it on the eighth week by insisting I was there on the first wash. Thirty years in the trade and I thought I’d seen it all.
I’ll give you the answer next week unless someone comes up with the answer.
    Happy New Year.

She has a pumped waste system to a septic tank that has to fill to a certain level in the tank before it will pump the waste water away?

A seal isn’t sitting right, but when the machine heats up properly something expands to make the seal good?

Thier watse pipe is frozen/blocked and the water from the first wash deforsts/unblocks it?

Last guess is it’s nothing to do with the machine, when they set the first wash they make a cup of tea, filling the kettle in the sink next to the machine and the waste is leaking from there?

That’s close enough Welsh Boy. Turned out to be snails up the waste pipe!!!
First pump out the machine flooded over the stand pipe behind the machine flushing enough snails away to keep a French restaurant going for two days. Bit of fine mesh chiken wire over the waste pipe outside and the jobs a good ‘en.
Drove away banging my fore head muttering ‘f***k**g snails!!!’
    Well done welsh boy.
