    Hi,

My aged Zanussi WDJ1094 seems to stick on any program that needs the water to heat, it just churns round and round and never gets anywhere. Could this be because the water never gets to temperature ? I opened the door with the drum full, and the water is very cold. If I move the dial on it will rinse and spin correctly.

I’ve got a few questions, which I numbered for clarity:

    1. I presume that if I measure the impedance of the element (machine unplugged of course), it’ll be open circuit ?

    2. Does the element come out of the drum easily, ie. without having to dismantle the drum ?

    3. When I check the dryer, it seems to work, which confused me. Is there a separate heating element for this function ?

Thanks in advance for any answers,

    Nic

That’s one possible result. Check impedence to earth as well.

Element is a compression grommet fitting – it’ll fight you, but will come out.

    Correct.

Additionally, check for broken wiring and loose connectors around heater and thermostats. Does the “Jetsystem” still fuction?

    As you said, power off……….
