Heres the history. Woken violently by the wife screaming ‘ the washer wont work!’
Why do they get so hysterical, not important like the football being cancelled is it.
Anyway.
Told she went to start it and it tripped the RCB. It had just completed a wash fine and she was on the second (we have one on in the night on Economy 7 and another in the morning). She heard a click and assumes this was the RCB which is in the garage with the machine but shes not sure if it came from the machine.
The RCB reset fine and the machine powered up ok.
When she selects a program which it does fine and then ‘start’, this is when we get the door interlock message ‘dE’. We had this error a while back and a complete door/switch assembly was fitted with no probs till now.
Prior to this may I add, the machine has been sounding a bit rough lately occasionally on spin, bit grindish, but rotates freely now with no noise at all. Any clues, could it be just the door interlock switch again or any ideas as what may be more sinister lurking elsewhere which also gives this error code as the manual says if not the door switch to consult the LG people.
All help is greatly appreciated as I wont get a minutes peace till its running or a new machine.
