    Please advise, I’ve my dryer is working but with low heat only. Tested heat switch-ok, measured voltage by thermostates – 120 to earth, 240 to neutral. Green dot showing open circuit, other stat. short circuit then open when touched. Any suggestions?

    If the green spot stat is open circuit then your dryer should not heat at all. That is the safety TOC that cuts out and does not reset under overheating conditions. These can be due to blocked condensor or filter, opening the door mid cycle etc.

    The stats come as a pair, part number 1701583, available from the shop. We do not advise live testing, there is no need whatsoever.
