I am replacing the timer on this machine but the part supplied is labelled 1702509 (Invensys EC4925) The original timer was a Copreci TD-020014. The fitting instructions supplied with new timer mention two link wires to be connected on the timer and then to follow the table with regards to connecting the remaining wires.
I can identify the connections for the black, red, blue and black/white wires but I still have a pink and a grey wire in the loom that are not mentioned in the instructions (other than to say “pink – link A3/A12” and grey “link B9/A4” – but the link wires they supplied are already fitted to those terminals. Do the pink and grey wires in the loom remain unconnected ?
Am I missing something really obvious here ?
    Thanks in advance.

I have to refer you to this post. viewtopic.php?f=53&t=62983

From my long, almost 40 years experience, the information leaflets given out with Hotpoint/Creda parts are as good as or better than any other manufacturer. From that it would seem that you are ‘missing something’ but it is impossible to hazard what might be an incorrect guess that could lead to damage.

Some of the links are not always required but the leaflet should make this clear. All the existing wiring will need reconnecting somewhere.

    Thanks Jim,
It’s a fair point, well made.
