ParticipantI’ve got a customer with a Bosch WFO2864GB/01 where the brushes had failed. Prior to replacing the brushes my customer said that the machine has just recently not fully completed the cycle and displayed between 5 & 10 minutes remained on the display? I replaced the brushes and meggered the motor (6 megohms) quickly ran through a rinse and spin cycle (like you do 😉 ) and left.
Now she says it still doesn’t complete the full spin enough to fully spin the clothes dry and has 7 minutes left on the display?
I suspect the Module board is at fault, relay or whatever not kicking into full spin perhaps? I’m pretty sure the motor plug leads are sound (though I cannot rule that out I guess?) But I discounted that because the programme would at least complete the cycle and go to Zero on the display…or would it?….HELP!!!!

I suspect the Module board is at fault,
Suspect you may be right Martin.
I don’t think fault codes are displayed numerically on that m/c, they tend to be displayed via flashing lights.
Will have a look for you later.

check for dry joints on module especially where the large resistor is , i had similar fault got new module later discovered resistor was loose

My customer says that when they set it to spin only it spins for about 2 mins or so after which point is stops, the display shows 7 mins then about a minute later it displays 1 minute left? So I guess it only gets up to about 800 or 100 revs and at the point it should ramp up to 1200 it simply turns off!
I’m always a bit cautious when the thought of fitting a module may or may not fix it, but I cannot figure much else? 😕

Excessive arcing at commutator/brushes as motor builds up speed , causing electronics to shut down. I`d have a closer inspection of the motor again.

The motor runs sweet as a nut, no arcing at all…. 😕

KeymasterMartin,
Verify two thinks: stator relays (spining relay= who manage the stator and his wires to motor) and pressure switch. Thirst is more likely.PS. If I remember good at spin starting point, at begining it goes good and after he stop is also because of tacho generator if it is three wire model (electronic).
