    Does anyone have a suggestions on purchasing a reliable basic washing machine? With spin around 1200-1400rpm and variable temp control. Manufacturer and model number please. My existing washing machine has only lasted from January 2004 and has completed aprox 325 washing cycles, 100 without a proper spin speed and now it has no heater control. It looks brand new. My past washers lasted for 8 years.

    Bosch WAE24162 1200 spin or it`s partner the 1400 spin version WAE28162. Variable temperature on main programme selector. Machine comes with a two year guarantee too.

    Or for a good hard wearing machine try the Miele W520. Built to a higher spec.
