Subject: Request to view topicDear Moderator.
A link coming from this site and pointing to a test site that contains unpublished test information has been posted on this forum.
The topic in question appears to be restricted to ‘special invitees’ only.
The referring url is http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … ic&t=20870
And the link points to a website in connection with Currys and a partner that I represent.
I am requesting permission to view the content of this thread to ascertain whether the link has been posted illegally or without permission.
Thanking you in advance of your cooperation
Gary Dickenson

Anyone else got this? he does not appear to have posted anywhere.
I think site Admin should respond to this.

As I have only just returned from feeling like a member of the third world I don’t have much time to deal with this, 9 unanswered phone calls on NTL Call Minder to sort out.
I have replied and informed him that I have passed his message to site admin, I will leave it so that hopefully Ken will answer him.
This is a link to his profile Ken, http://tinyurl.com/ybvycs

Ken, he has just replied to my PM, says he tried to e-mail but it bounced. From what I have read that has happened to one or two others. I will ask him to e-mail you direct.

David and I are sad feckers.
We’re sat here and all we’re doing is smelling a great big bloody rat. Something about this just stinks to high heaven.

KeymasterRe: Have you had this?
Unsurprisingly he hasn’t contacted me. I suspect that he knows the answer that he will recieve which, pretty much. will equate to a polite request to go forth and fornicate.
Simple rule of thumb, publish it, be prepared to defend it.

LMFAO!
Get this from this plonker, which only serves to make me much more suspicious of this myhomeconnect thing….
plonker from Creospace wrote:Dear Sirs,
I represent my client ‘myhomeconnect’ and whom are a partner of Currys.
A link has been published on your forum pointing to a webpage that is not officially published as yet. The referring url has been traced to your forum thus my contacting yourselves. I would like to view the thread in question to ascertain the reason for publishing and whether any further action needs to be taken.I have already signed up for an account under the name of ‘creospace’.
The thread in question is here however it is hidden within a ‘trade only’ forum :

If you can authorise this without delay please. Once the content has been viewed and investigated I will contact you again with further instructions.Thanking you in anticipation of your assistance.

Cheeky fooker!
So he got a suitable reply…..
kwatt wrote:Hi Gary,
As you are not in the trade, no you may not view the topic in question as it is a trade only forum.
Should you not wish people to view the page you mention then I would suggest that you either take it down or not give out the details and run the risk of the URL being given out. Given that someone has been calling many repairers in Southern England it strikes me as hardly surprising that there is a discussion about the subject within the industry.
I can tell you that this is part of an ongoing discussion in relation to the “myhomeconnect” website and the National Trade Register within the trade, the details of which are, frankly, none of your concern and should persons from Currys wish to view the topic then they do have access to the trade forums at DSG Head Office.
Please do not contact me with “instructions”, presumably to remove the thread, link or both, as they will likely be ignored without a court order.

An email I recieved personally late this afternoon:
Please can you allow me access to the trade site to respond to feedback with regards to My Home Connect on behalf of Currys, a trading arm of DSG Retail Ltd. My Home Connect are using the Currys brand without authorisation and we would like to share that with your members.
User Name is DSGRetailLtd
Many thanks
It’s from a pukka DSG email address as well, I’ve yet to do anything with it 😉

National Homecare/Servis/Gbdar springs to mind for some reason (that isn’t cryptic, it just did when I read the name).

I’m so tempted to say let ’em both in to slug it out…… but that would probably be unprofessional, unethical, undignified, ugly and just so bloody funny that we shouldn’t. Really. Well maybe……. Go on, do it!
I’ve only had three  s, so I’m still reasonably lucid. Honest.
