for reasons unknown my whirlpool awo3551 washing machine won’t take the soap powder
also i’ve removed the detergent draw but now it won’t go back in… 😳
can anyone help me with these two problems?thanks

it’s ok i’ve refitted the drawer 😳 but it still won’t take the soap powder…there is water going in to the machine ???

Take the lid off and have and look at the top of the soap box. There is a steering mechanism on it to direct the water into the different compartments. This may well be the source of your problem.
Power off before touching anything.

yes it was 🙂 the thin wire that controls the steering mechanism has snapped 😕 so i’ve taped it into place till i can get them out to look at it

😀 Thanks again my whirpool awm8163/3 had recently stooped directing water properly.Again I thought this would be expensive so we were adding powder to the wash and softener if we were around. Have just opened top,after disconnecting power of course,and found little brown plastic device which connects to water director had sprung loose THANKS AGAIN
