Got a Hoptpoint wd440 which has just gone over 12 month guarantee!
Two days ago when going from wash cycle to rinse and spin water has started leaking which seems to be coming from inside the dispenser drawer as water is found bottom left hand side of machine.
Has anybody had the same problem and if so any ideas!!

    Many Thanks

Oversudsing? Dispenser Drawer needs taking out and the cavity cleaning as well as the drawer or maybe drain outlet partially blocked and waste water not getting away quick enough?

HAVE CHECKED DRAIN PIPE AND ALL CLEAR.
DOESN’T SEEM TO BE OVER SUDDING.
BEING A TYPICAL FEMALE I DO ALOT OF WASHING BLANKETS AND RUGS AND WONDER IF THERE IS ANY BLOCKAGE THAT I MAY HAVE MISSED.
I HAVE READ A COUPLE OF PREVIOUS PROBLEMS ON THIS FORUM AND WONDER IF IT IS A BLOCKAGE IN THE PIPE LEADING FROM THE DISPENSER DRAW INTO THE DRUM BUT NOT SURE HOW TO GET TO IT PROPERLY.
SORRY TO SOUND A BIT OF A DUMB FEMALE BUT HAVE TRIED AS MUCH AS I COULD.

ANY FURTHER SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GRATEFULLY APPRECIATED.

Oh dear you’ve got your ‘CAPS LOCK’ on now……please don’t shout 😕

Washing rugs can be a real killer and the sump trap can get blocked as a result. User instruction booklets not listed on Hotpoints site means you will have to ring Hotpoint direct for a copy (or email – but they’ll ignore that I expect?) 😉

Sorry about the cap locks but been doing a presentation in the middle of looking at this forum, didn’t mean to offend!!!!
Is there no where else i might be able to find a manual as after looking at this forum and you clarifying what i have read i probably won’t get too far with hotpoint.

How easy is it for me to get to the sump pump to check it out.

Offend?…not at all, just joking in fact, we all regard messages sent in caps as SHOUTING…..no worries. 🙂

Manual? No Hotpoint only supply a ‘User Instruction Booklet’ and you can only get that from them direct. 😉

It’s NOT a DIY job but if you insist on taking a look by removing panels and stuff, then do please up-plug the machine first. If however you want a bit of expert help, do click on the link below for a local engineer. 😉
