    Hi —- Machine fault is “light comes on at neon but when prog selected and on/off button pressed in the light goes out but nothing happens” I’ve checked all sorts of things but ended up blaming heater. But checked the obviuos parts of heater , wiring pcb BUT can’t get it to DO ANYTHING ONCE BUTTON IS PRESSED IN. Put meter leads on the wire links on heater and no power on them. But when testing the terminals on heater it meters out OK ?? Link wires are rusty and dont meter out. IS THIS A HEATER ERROR or do I need to get a pcb. Can’t check mains at terminal as the position is too tight against the frame.

    ANY IDEAS !!! Brett

    Hi Brett,

    I had a Zanussi d/w before xmas doing this and turned out to be wall socket was faulty.Is the on/off switch ok.

    Definitely a neutral fault on the supply side of the on off switch. Could be the mains terminal block or a faulty wall socket.
