    Anyone have any ideas?

    This is what is happening:
    We turn it on using the button like a 1, select programme using the arrow button, press the ready button (like a I in a diamond) and the green ready light illuminates, close the door, it then humms for around 15 sec, then the tone changes to a very quite buzz (like it is about to start doing something) then it start beeping and continues to beep until you open the door when you see that the ready (green) light is flashing (this is a series of 6 flashes and a pause, then 6 and a pause, etc,etc).

    No fill detected. Humming noise may well be the inlet valve opening, so check that the water is actually on and the fill hose is not kinked or trapped.

    That was it, the tap was turned off at the back!
