Recently 2 year old DC27 has started to behave erratically. The tablet door didn’t open on one occasion, the drying sometimes didn’t work and now doesn’t work at all, and sometimes the drying light flashes even when the wash select is set to off, and I don;t think it did that before. I’ve tried pulling it out and tipping it, but no sign of any water.

I spoke to Hotpoint and they reckon the eeprom has corrupted. I could send the board back to them for repair, but its only covered if their engineer comes out (for £89) and takes it out.

    Any advice?

    Re: Hotpoint DC27

Complete new control PCB is around £50.00 + vat, difficult decision really unless you are confident of correctly & safely replacing yourself, then its an easy decision. 😉

We can supply the parts if required, please remove mains plug if you intend to proceed.

BTW. Its an Indesit really. 😥

    Jim.

PS. First I have heard of Hotpoint doing a postal eeprom reprogramme. ❓
