    been to this beast today model hldb29 enr eb295130/01 fd 8201 bottom oven door lock for pyroletic cleaning has engaged he says he has had this prob before on the other oven. is this common? expensive? and easy to replace? and where to obtain spare thanx. 😛

    Had one jam, thats all but managed to free it off.
    Gaggenau is part of the BSH group, try bshappliancecare.co.uk for spares, exploded views etc.

    There was a problem with some of the pyro ovens locking the door, if self clean is not used much.
    Opening and closing the door would cause a quick pulse of power to the lock motor, so after sometime(months) the motor had moved enough to lock the door.
    Selecting then deselecting self clean will resolve, for a while.

    A permanent solution was to fit a new (updated) module that, cunningly, will retract the motor in the early hours of the morning, when nobody would be about.(providing the clock was set correctly) 😉
