Version 1 is the paddle with the two pegs. I am fitting new paddles but the m/c throws them back out a few weeks later. Any one come up with a good way of keeping them in? Any theories gratefully received.

Even the official method involving drilling a small hole and inserting a rokut rivet with the special tool is almost useless in my exprience. I would guess that the only way to be certain would be to remove the drum and secure them from the outside with a non rusting screw of some sort. I have used a plug of Granvilles Petro Putty pushed into one of the holes that the six securing lugs slot into, but again this is only possible with the drum removed.

I think it would be possible to drill a very small hole at the front edge of the lifter and insert a small, non ferrous screw there. ❓
