We’ve got a problem with our Whirlpool DWF415 (about 3 years old) when it’s first turned on. The pump runs for maybe 30-60 seconds, then cuts out (indicator light on front of machine goes out). A second or two later, it turns back on again (light on), and then after another second or two, cuts out. This continues for maybe 2 minutes, then everything runs normally.

Additionally, and this may or may not be connected, a leak has developed from the back of the machine when it’s running. Not massive amounts of water, but enough to make a mess.

    Anyone any ideas?

    Thanks.

It may well be flooded underneath and need draining. Have a read of this:

Note the position of the motor terminals……….

That may be your starting point – stay safe – power off for anything other than observation.
