    13 month old hotpoint has gone wrong, fortnight ago danced across the kitchen floor, took the bak off and found a broken damper, part ordered and replaced last night, went to put a load on and has now been washing for the last 12hours, lights indicating which part of cycle it is on is stuck at wash any advice would be gratefully recieved.

    Sounds like you put it back wrong. Is the drain hose in a stand pipe? too far down and it will syphon water from he tank as it tries to heat it. This causes an endless loop of heating and refilling. If this isnt the cause then may be the heater. Hope this helps
