Participanthi, im having lots of problems with my schreiber apm6315 intergrated fridge. For a long time the light hasn’t been working, also the cooling properties have been getting worse and worse, until now… its not working at all. My boyfriend’s just removed it to have a look, and has found the following….there was a plinth board covering the ventilation at the bottom with no holes to allow air to circulate, also if you remove the plastic hatch to allow access to the switch (on top of fridge) and tap it the fridge works for five minutes or so,and finally the hinges have dropped so the door has not been sealing on the top right corner. Do you think its possible to repair,if the fridge will work then its worth buying the hinges etc, thanks all

The first two hinges here:

should have a certain air of familiarity………Second part of problem sounds like a thermostat fault. Unfortunately, there are early and late versions of the machine, so the serial number will be required to identify the correct one.

Thermostat is part number 526005301 at £14.98 inc VAT.
An email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk please if you’d like one.
I can combine the hinges if required with the same order to save on postage 🙂

Hi All,
I have noticed there has been problems with this model in the past.
Here I am with my query.
This under counter built in fridge is built into my kitchen, never had any problems before.
Yesterday at about midday, we noticed that the milk from the fridge was warm. It has been 24 hours since then and all of the food from the fridge has been wasted. What’s lost is lost, but would like to repair it now.
Its not cooling at all.
While the thermostat is on, the fridge sounds, when I turn it to Zero, it goes quiet.
I am not an expert, but I managed to take the fridge out from under the worktop and have had a look, all LOOKS normal. There is no frost build up, etc.
The door seal has a good fit and there is sufficient venting in the plinth.
Could you advise what might need changing and how to decipher? Many Thanks, Adam.

It sounds as if the stat is operating normally so I’d suspect the compressor was faulty.

Thank you for taking the time Kwatt, much obliged. Could you tell me where on the refrigerator the compressor is? And is there anyway that I can test that is definitely the compressor that’s faulty?
How much is a new compressor for my model (Model: Schreiber apm6315, Serial number I think is: 981706134) and is it something I could fit myself?
Very anxious for any responses on this, it’s a family kitchen and you know what its like.
Again, your expert input will be very much appreciated.
Kind Regards, Adam. -
