    Hi folks

After reading about heating problems on this forum (started by shaggs on 18th Nov 06), I have found that the solder joints for the black relay nearest to to wire terminals on the pcb, look as though they have been badly soldered or have partly melted (no other burn signs on pcd track). They look to me what I call dry joints – cracks in the solder.
Is this the relay that has been spoken about in previous answer?
Or is it the large blue one at the top of the board?

    Many thanks
    Dieseldog 🙂

Black one is the relay, blue one is the transformer for the power supply.

Power off before wielding soldering iron.

    Hi
Just been to Maplin, been given the following relay
part no. JM67X – think that will be Maplins part no.

Before I fit it can any one confirm that this is the correct relay.

    Thank you Dieseldog ❓

No idea – if the current rating is the same or higher and the pins line up, solder it in!

Its not. Rated at 5A/240V. Not high enough.
    Am looking for one myself.
