    Hi All

The brushes on my WFL 2260 look as if they’re on the way out. I see from other posts that there are two motors fitted to this model. Is there a way of telling which is which without taking the motor off? I don’t want to strip it until I have to as the machine is still working. I’ve lookd around with a mirror and can see some dot printer numbers, but no names. Does the shape of the brush holders give a clue; could the local supplier tell from the Bosch database if I give them the FD number (8011 600148)?

    Hi Brian

With this model, you can take the carbon brushes without opening the whole motor.

But you have to check if it is FHP or siemens motor.

Part no for FHP Carbon Brush 173028, for siemens 154740.

If you have dot printing, your appliance has a Seimens motor fitted, which will require these:

Don’t wait too long – you run the risk of the motor cooking itself if the brushes wear to far.

Power off if fitting these yourself.

Many thanks, mate. I thought it probably was Seimens by a description of changing them on another web-site.
