Hi, have a problem, was moving the fridge at the weekend and the flex got damaged. I replaced it by simply fitting a new bit of flex straight into the back…no problem.

Anyway, plugged it back in and the copressor started but then noticed that the internal light did no come on…bulb??? NO.

Anyway, a day later and the fridge is now cooling constantly…so I assume the thermostat is not working, well nor does the on off switch and temp setting at the top, so I have obvioulsy damaged the wiring so no power is getting to the top of the unit.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram so I can see what I have done.

Not knowing a great deal about the inerds of a fridge, I need to trace what I have done wrong.

    Many thanks in advance.

…oh, just one other thing, I may have shorted it cause the fuse on the plug blew, are there any relays of internal fuses that would cut power to the upper loom? Just a thought

i think you’ve wired it direct to the compressor(ie.ptc connection) rather than live connection in connector block.

that would figure, do you have a wiring diagram or picture??

From memory, there was a terminal that it could have been either or…ie, there were 2 earths (in and out) 2 negs (in and out) and 3 lives (in, out and ???)
