Hi,
Baffle is controlled by the module, which in turn receives info from thermistors.
This keeps the baffle open all the time the fridge temp is above the set temp. If the baffle is open and the fridge is still warm check that the vents/ducting to the fridge compartment are not ice up, hence reducing/blocking airflow. did you change the evaporator thermistor?.On early models this was green in colour and gave lots of problems even though no error code was shown when you switched the appliance on and it did a self check routine. evap fan should kick in when evapoator temp reaches -15.
Hope this helps

thanx tubs for info . yes i changed the thermistor for the fan delay a while ago and all was fine. when i went temp was 10 in fridge no ice build up and baffle was closed took it off refit it and it opened which thermistor controls this (part number or resistance) or could it be board.

The fridge thermistor is 2601739 for the FF range and 2600284 for the 8496 range.

I did repair few HP on last months. There are three temperature probes (thermistors) which governs functionality. Most problem comes from E2 (freezer temperature probe= green connector on freezer air compartment).
Open main electronic and first two connectors from the left are 1,2= fridge temp.probe; 3,4+5,6= freezer air & freezer evaporator temp.probe. (all should have same resistance at room temperature).I had your problem at least to four fridges because of door lamp switch. If you open the door: lamp is activated and baffle is closing in order to maintain temperature in freezer compartment. If door is too lower, because of weighted food or glasses, when he’s closed don’t operate the switch so temperature is growing. 8)

Baron [who’s up very late; it’s 2 hours later in Rumania 😕 ] has jogged my memory. I had one with no baffle opening and it was corroded pins in the plug/socket to the baffle motor. The display showed an error code of EA. Worth checking that.
Have you changed both the green and yellow thermistors? I think it’s unlikely to be a board fault.

I didn’t say it’s a board fault because I’ve seen that robinsonrobbo has model without display (only Led’s) and couldn’t identify error message.
You have right with your corroded pin and plus is there also one “magnetic switch” which tells to PCB in what position is baffle (Open/Close) who could be stuck in one position. -
