    Diplomat ADP 8902 slimline.

This a intergrated machine which just pumps as soon as you put it on any program. It’s only 18 months old.

    Any ideas ??

I am suspecting the PCB it all looks OK.

Have these M/C got a sponge microswitch inside wich activates the pump when a small leak occurs ?
Have these machine got a presure chamber inside like the Bosch/Hotpoint that get blocked with muck ??

    Any help would be appreciated.

Oh, God – another Chinese one. Undertray will be flooded. As usual.

Unplug it, put towels down and slowly lean the machine back. When the flow stops, the float switch should reset and it should work.

Do not use multi-function tabs in the machine, they cause excess froth and once it’s running, do not open the door.

If it does it again, you may have a more serious problem.

    This one’s a Smeg, not a Haier 😀

Still might be flooded as Penguin says above but this is one of the models that can be affected by power surges to the PCB

Do a search for “Diplomat AND reset” or “Smeg AND reset” on this forum and give the reset procedure a try – it may be that the PCB has defaulted to manufacturer’s settings and needs to be reprogrammed.
