Been to a Htpt TDC32 s#1210070 cond/dryer tripping electric! Upon removing the rear panel [heater & stats live inside] I was greeted with about 2 pints of water which some of it had been splashed onto the htr & stats by the fan! On all the ones i’ve worked on before i’ve never come across this amount of water, so what gives? Customer cleans/ emptys m/c weekly!

It is not uncommon to get water pouring out of the back panel, usually a gunged up float chamber or badly blocked condensor.

had a few like this dryed out with hair dryer and ok

the only slight common theme is some of the clients operate dryer on half heat and with the lack of temp around fan causing condensation

thats my theory but am open to other ideas

Have seen this several times when customers (eventually) explained that they have moved the machine for one reason or another.
They don’t think twice about tipping them back at odd angles and then the above happening.

Have done the hairdryer trick as above and have had ne recalls.

Another thing I’ve seen is where the back panel is against the (now redundant) vent hole through the wall. In cold weather condensation will form on the inside off the panel and water gathers.
