I have this machine which is underfilling on the wash cycle, the machine fills but takes in very little water below the inner drum level, once filled to this level the machine starts washing. On rinses its fills and pumps a couple of times with the water level just below the inner drum rim which seems low to me. The element was open circuit which I’ve replaced and I have cleared the pressure system.

The pressurestat is the oval type but is it likely the pressure swith is the culprit or does the pcb board at the front play anypart here.

    Still head scratching !

I have been back to this machine this morning after having a word with a Bosch engineer. Turns out this machine is a Fuzzy Logic version and fills with very low water level until clothes are wetted then fills until correct level is reached of 2.5cm – 3.5cm.

I was testing the machine with no clothing and that was the wrong way to test evidently. Anyhow have this time added clothing i.e. two bathtowels and run the machine for around 45 mins on a 40c wash. Turns out that the machine fills up, then every 5 minutes or so it tops up until after 35 mins the towels were completely wetted.

I asked the customer if the clothes were coming out clean and she siad that they were not and we dicussed loading. Aa i have replaced the blown heater element I suspect that is why the clothes were not clean and possibly also that she has been putting too much in as well.

The lady has lost her owners manual so we could not see what the recommended loads were supposed to be. But going on say Zanussi Energy savers like the Jetwash range those guidlines were in some cases only 2.5kg of washing and I had many a call for poor washing results with those.

Any of you had experience of Bosch Fuzzy logics and this continuing topping up versus wash load problems.

Check the dispenser + dispenser breather hose for clogged soap.
