Hi my GW709AU had a replacement rebuilt main board put in about 3 years ago after the first year the machine was dead, i found one of the fuses blown, strangly it was a 1.6A micro fuse however the board says 2A, i guess the board repairer ran out of 2A fuses. Anyway to stay on the safe side i replaced it with a 1.6A and all was working fine although every blue moon i needed to replace that 1.6A fuse. Now its dead again same problem but this time fuse blows as soon as power is switched i even tested a 2A fuse, then tested power to the board with nothing else plugged in and again blows the fuse.

I Have made the following resistance tests:

    1. Drain pump – 32.6 Ohms
    2. Hot Water Valve – 61.5 Ohms
    3. Cold Water Valve 62.7 Ohms
    4. Wash motor 32.3 Ohms between phases & 16.1 Ohms per winding
    5. Thermistor 10.24k Ohms

I noticed a slight chip on one of the transistors so i guess that could be damaged can’t make out the value. I will be replacing the board tomorrow as well as replacing the rotor sensor as advised by the spare shop, if anyone could offer any further assistance i would greatly appreciate it.

Have you isolated the various components and checked for earth leakage?

    Hi Penguin45,

I already checked for earth leakages, but it doesn’tmatter anymore, i purchased the replacment board along with the rotor sensor and fitted it, resized the machine and so far so good i will leave any feedback f anything changes.
