Background – Machine unused for 4 years as moved house which included built in dishwasher. This recently packed in so plumbed in above machine. Initial teething problem of sticking in 2 places and had to be manually clicked on. After a couple of weeks everything fine and then suddenly machine stops heating. Took apart and all appears fine – heater element resistance is 26 ohms and all connections, wires, pipes etc seem ok. Reading previous threads common cause seems to be dry joints on PCB. This machine appears to have mechanical controller though?? ie loads of plastic cogs connected to control knob. Please advise!!! 🙁 🙁

There is a diaphragm switch incorporated in the heater box operated by water pressure. If the machine is underfilling, the flow will be insufficient to work the switch, therefore no heat.

Problem usually caused by the tube in the front left corner of the machine clagging up, preventing correct filling. Strip and clean as a starting point.

    Power off, of course.
