Freezer works OK. Fridge won’t cool down – shows H. Have switched off for 36 hours to defrost. Switched back on but proiblem persists – any ideas why?

Hi drowlins. Yes there is a magnetic switch thing on the top of the door. Could this be anything to do with the problem?

Okay, not seen one of these ever. 😕

You model number isn’t complete, there should be four digits but I’ve assumed that it’s an APM6852.

It would appear that there’s a module built into the light switch on that machine and, to be perfectly honest, it’s a Merloni thing and probably not going to be the easiest thing in the world to DIY. The module and housing already have one revision that I can see as well to boot.

Do you suggest an engineer then?

I would to be honest as, even if it is just the board, there’s a little modification to be done.
