    Fault = The washing machine appears to stall when any of the wash programs selected (ie numbers)
    It will spin, rinse and drain. when selected

    Checks carried out. = All inlet tubes & drain tubes clear, the pump and filter are free from obstructions and I have checked and cleaned carbon brushes.
    Model W123 UK BG
    Type LB2000C
    S/N 106025219
    I have been informed that this model does not have a capacitor to boost power to motor.
    Would changing the suppressor have any effect

    Please help

    This Forum has given me some very useful advice in the FAQ but the above question appears not to be there.

    The dial doesn’t clunk round for any function? Normally faults are indicated by the dial rotating away.

    If it won’t advance for anything, I’d inspect the timer/selector unit behind the knob.

    Power off, of course.
