    Hi

The feed connector of the inlet pipe for my washing machine (Smeg UKST121S2) has been broken. The OEM inlet pipe has a grey box on the other end which I think it is a valve called an Aqua Stop.

Could you some please let me know if this is a mechanical or electronic valve?

There do not seem to be any cables running across from the washing machine to this box, so I assume it is not an electronic valve.

Would it be OK for me to replace this inlet hose with a standard fitting or do I have to order the OEM part from Smeg?

Also is it possible to repair the exisitng inlet pipe and just replace the feed connector?

    Many Thanks

    Kind Regards,

    Alex

I think they’re mechanical as no power is required for it.
