    Got woken really early this morning by a very loud noise from my Hotpoint Mistral fridge freezer. The noise stops when the fridge door is open, but starts again when it’s shut. Switched it off, (peace :)) but didn’t want all my food to go off, so had switch it back on and the awful noise is back 😡
    HELP!

    Presumably the cooling fan is fouling on an ice build up. Try a full defrost for 48 hours and see if that clears it.

    Thanks Penguin45, you saved me £109+VAT, (Indesit’s quote). Full defrost cleared the problem. 😀
