ParticipantI bought and fitted a new pump for my servis M6011 now the only problem is that i cant attach the pump the washing machine frame as the old one did
My question is simply if i dont fix it to the frame would it be damaged or can i leave it sitting just above the frame
Thanks,

In what way won’t it fit to the chassis ?
Normally these pumps have no thread in the base and the existing bolts cut their own on the way in 😉

It doesnt reach the holes the only way would be to bend the pipe thats coming from the drum ive pushed the pipe off the drum far as it will go on the pump but i cant screw it down because the pump is more to the back of the machine than the holes are 😕
Its just the postion of the pump is well looks impossble to fit it where the old one was

Eh ? 😕
The hose that fits to the pump comes from the filter unit at the front, not from the drum (assuming the model number is correct) 😉

Hi
You have the wrong pump there are 2 pumps which look similar one has the motor coil facing the outside of machine and the other has coil facing in wards towards drum . Whats the serial number of machine thats the only way to make sure of correct pump.

Hi Dave doesn’t this model use the short pump which is at the wrong angle and you could take pump motor off and put on old housing but I think wires or the connections need to be modified.

Dave.
The holes on the frame it seems to be needed to force the pump on the frame which then makes the pipe get a minor bend
My model number is M6011
That is the one i ordered http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/modules.p … cts_id=162
Serial number is 20050710203-010077205-01
Pump works but it makes a noise because of the vibration on the frame of the washing machine

Could that be done since its the motor on the old one thats making a noise and attach the motor to old part

Ok ive but the new motor on the old pipe part my question is ive got 2 cables both grey and ones L and the other is N and there is no marking on the cables which one would go where and question is what would happen if the wrong cable went on the wrong plug on the pump motor 👿
Last time i attempt to fix a washing machine 😳

It’s an AC circuit, so for this application it won’t matter which way round you wire the pump motor.

No it is not a problem but the wires don’t reach properly on some of the models or the plug connector is wrong! so you sometimes need to modify, which is not a problem for an engineer but for a customer might be. Where the correct pump doesn’t cause a problem.

Yep, that serial number uses the short bodied housing, I assume it’s sorted now though by swapping them over ?

Ok now this new pump is making one hell of a noise like a deep sounding growl type noise it pumps water out but its making more of a noise than the old one how come ?
It sounds fine when pumping water out but when it runs dry it sounds pretty bad even the old one which has worn out doesnt sound that bad 😯

ParticipantRe: Servis Pump question
Is it secured tightly to the base and not touching the side panel etc ?
It may be a dodgy pump, if it is, please reply to the shop@ email notification and I’ll sort it.
Dave.
