I have struggling to diagnose the problem with the above machine.
When switched on the ‘short wash’ light comes on sometimes with the spin/pump light and the machine refuses to start. I can reset the program but when I select another wash the machine refuses to run.
If I select a program before switching on the machine starts straight away filling and motor turning but the program time and action doesn’t appear to relate to the program selected.
If I turn, select the program then press the start button as you should the machine refuses to run.
The way the machine reacts to the way the program is selected is a bit erratic.
There was an earth fault on the motor which I have cleared.
Has anyone got any ideas on this?

It was just caused by the carbon dust round the brush holders.
When I removed the brushes to check condition and test the armature I blew the dust out from the area as I have found this can sometimes reduces the fault and it cleared significantly. I have to admit I didn’t really expect it to clear completely but hey who cares if it works?
So, from now on if all else fails try a BJ! 🙂
