ParticipantMy Smartdrive 703 has developed the following faults:
- 1. Leaking from the top into the bowl while hot water tap is on. (had problem for 3 months or so)
2. Will not run first rinse cycle or spin cycle, buzzing noise is heard (drum motor not catching?). Other cycles fine. (problem developed 2 days ago)
3. Do not know how to do a manual drain, or automatic if there is such a function (had to resort to bailing due to not running spin cycle).
Ran diagnostics, got 37 (pump blockage) which I should have expected due to the water level not changing.
I am not very technical in this field, but cannot afford replacement.
Thanks for your time

edit: Just got error code 12. What does that mean? And is there anywhere I can get a list of error codes?

Hot water valve not closing properly – replace. P/no 426142

Machine will not continue programme until full drain is detected. Buzzing noise may well be from the drain pump. Possibly jammed due to foreign body or seized due to leakage. It is a twist fit from underneath – power off first though. Pump is p/no 426719P if required.

You can operate the pump by entering diagnostics (Hold Wash Temp Down button, then press Power), after the beeps, you can use the Regular Cycle button to turn the pump on and off; assuming that it is actually working.

Don’t worry about 12 yet – it’s water level related, so you need to get the pump operational first. We can’t publish the whole list of codes as the info is copyright to F+P and I don’t wish to upset them….
Plug out before touching anything. If you are not sure of your abilities, you should consider using a local repairer – unless you’re out on a station in the middle of nowhere 😀 .
Good luck,
