ParticipantWe have a Siemens Siwamat 6102 washing machine which is causing us no end of trouble.
The E-NR code is: WE61020GB/01
Part of the FD code has rubbed off but what I can see is: 7605?0It keeps coming up with error code 1. I would look it up in the manual but we don’t have one as our house is rented.
It always stops after the rinse & starts beeping away but there is still soap on the clothes. I just press the start button a few times & put it back to rinse then it rinses a bit more & beeps again so I press the start button again to get it to spin.
Two people have looked at it – the first one did something (don’t know what as I was at work & the landlord was here) & the machine worked for three washes. Then the machine broke completely (the man who fixed it said it was the door mechanism – it also blew out the socket) and I mentioned the problem with it keeping stopping but he said that was normal to have to move the machine on by pressing the start button???
If anyone could help with this, I’d be ever so grateful as it’s a total pain in the neck & all the beeping is doing my head in!
Thanks, Chantal

Make sure that you don’t have the Rinse-hold button activated. This would cause the machine to stop after the rinses, and not spin until told to by the user.
How much detergent are you using? Overdosing can cause excess foam and poor rinsing.
2/3 of a cup should be sufficient for a full load; possibly slightly more for overalls and/or hard water conditions.

HI
Error 1 is a fault possibly down to a valve problem either blown or appliance not filling quick enough, ie within 4 minutes.Greg

Hi,
Thanks ever so much for your replies.
I’ve double checked the rinse hold & thats not on – it’s set to the highest spin speed.
I am also quite careful with the amount of detergent as I measure it every time, although the last couple of washes I have experimented with a bit less powder but we’re still having the same problem.
Is there any simple way we can find out if a valve has blown?

Hi
With the appliance un plugged and using a multimeter, you can measure each valve in turn (2 wires feeding disconnected) and you should read approx 2 – 3.5 kohm on each valve.HTH
