Participanthi, I have the above dishwasher and when I select a program and shut the door it just beeps twice, then If left as it is a short while later it beeps again. When I open the door the E and the glass icon are flashing…. any thoughts? have tried switching it off at the mains to reset but no joy, any help would be great!

These are the first two lamps? If so you have the much loved “Haier-in-a-skirt” Chinese dishwasher. The fault is no fill detected in the time allowed. If you are lucky, the water may be turned off or the fill hose may be kinked or trapped. If you are unlucky, the inlet valve may have failed or the computer board packed in. Always worth checking whether or not the tray under the machine is full of water…….
Power off before sticking fingers inside, please.
Regards,

Thanks for the reply, its the 2nd and 3rd lamp, the first one is the rinse option I think. When I open the dishwasher the tray inside at the bottom (with the filter plugged into it) is full of water….could that be blocked? so I just need to remove the filter and then poke around with fingers to find something perhaps?
thanks again

Hmm – not a code I recognise, I’m afraid. Apply some logic here. If you can reset the programme, the first thing that should happen when restarted is drain, so the water in the tub should go. If it doesn’t, you may have a blockage.
I was suggesting that you might check the tray right at the bottom of the machine. These machines are notorious leakers.

ok i took apart the bottom, removed the filter etc… emptied the excess water out with a cup, had a feel around for any blockage and nothing…..put it back together and it does just the same! does anybody know where I can get an instruction manual for it?

Did you check the tray under the machine?

not actually sure how to get into that, at my parent in laws you see so kind of guessing a bit…. Ive removed the bottom of the cupboard as its built in, but cannot see where I would access a bottom tray
