    Hi,

Has anyone used the above tester? I recently bought one off ebay but without instruction manual.

The continuity part works fine but whenever I try the insulation at 20Mohms(that is the lowest value on the meter) just the number 1 with small “or” apperars.I have tried doing it on different components but to no avail.

I do not have a clue what does that mean.

    Any Ideas?

    Regards

Assuming you’ve fitted new batteries, I guess it needs recalibrating?

“OR” normally means over range, that is to say higher than your meter can read..

Well I have calibration certificate with it that is till may 2007.

Secondly if I only check the heaters then that should not be a high value(under 20Mohms) but still gies me OR symbol with 1.

    Regards
