    Can anyone advise what is wrong with my HDC6 tumble dryer. Without any prior warning, now when I switch the machine on the drum turns very very slowly as though not free. It also smells of burning when this happens. This machine is 2-1/2 yrs old.
    If fixable can anyone advise what needs doing.

    Does the drum turn freely if you push it round by hand?

    yer motors duff

    u could try a capacitor first, but its usually the motor

    Is it an expensive part and viable to do. Is it quite easy to change out.
