How Can I Fix My Ariston Forno FV 37 GB?

Hi – my oven (Ariston FV 37 GB), which is about 8 years old, is not heating at all. When I switch it on, with the right hand dial set to “Max”, I then turn the left hand dial to select the desired temperature. The result is that the fan is working as it should, but no heat is being produced.

Does anyone know how I can fix it, what parts are needed, and whether it is a safe and sensible job for a novice?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi
It sounds to me like the main fan element at the rear of the cavity has blown.
An email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk will sort you out with a spare 😀

The job is straight forward enough, make sure you isolate the power to the appliance before attempting any work on it :plug:

    Hi
    Thanks for the email John.
I can confirm that it is the element you mentioned.
Fairly easy to change with care. Intact element should read 25-30 ohms.

Thank you so much for your advice. I have purchased the spare element for UKWhitegoods for £24 ish, and fixed the oven myself. I’m delighted to have saved the call out and labour charge and pleased that I’ve learned something. Thanks for your generous advice.

    Cheers

    John 😀
