For the third time in four years its broken!

It heats up. But the drum does not turn it just makes a noise from the timer. After a while the filter care light comes on. I’m worried I blow the fuse on the heater element again.

    Any ideas?

    Is it a motor problem?

    Many Thanks

No need for multiple posts, I have deleted your second one. More chance of answers later in the day when people have finished their days work.

Can you hear the sound of the motor or is there a humming noise. If the belt is in situ then the fault could be the motor or the motor capacitor. Checking with suitable test meter is required.

There is no noise from the motor. In recent weeks it has occasionally not made an immediate start.

Poor starting can be a capacitor fault. The only way to find out is to check both the capacitor & the motor, also need to check there is a circuit to the motor & capacitor.
