Help please. I’ve got an Aquarius DWF50 dishwaher bought just over 3 years ago. Lights 4 and 6 start flashing on together a couple of minutes after starting up and then the dishwasher stops whatever its doing. Is it serious, terminal or expensive to fix? Thanks

4+6 points to a heater related fault. Quite common on these Indesit dishwashers. could be heater, stat, controls etc. The heater itself is very prone to failure.

Element itself is around £30.00 + vat, not over expensive, very awkward retaining clips, a bit of a fiddle. Best to get the heater and associated wiring and components checked out electrically. Should be worth repairing, also remember that you do have a five year parts warranty. At a guess I would suspect most independent repairers would be able to do this job for less than the manufacturers £90.00 labour charge.

Please remove the mains plug if you intend to proceed yourself.

    Jim.

    Hello Jim
Thanks for your quick response to my query. I’ll contact my local repairer and hopefully he can fix it.
