Have one of the above where the base has flooded and customer using in 1 tabs.
At first the prog would drain and stop with continuous beeping but now whatever selected the drain pump just runs.
There is no anti flood device fitted on this but the old type giant Askoll is fitted and the connections were submerged. It had a NTC fitted last year.
Any suggestions? I think it may be the board but not sure.
    Thanks.

    Hi
This is a Whirlpool in a skirt.
How many times does the “Start” lamp flash when it faults?

I don’t think I’ve been to one of these ‘huge Askoll pumps’ that hasn’t had a leaking pump outlet hose.

    Check there first.

    Thanks for the replies.
Now it doesn’t fault, the drain pump operates continuously whichever program is selected. All I want to do is get it to fill so I can find the leak if not caused by the tablets and as no leak detector fitted am stumped as to why it should just drain.

    Hi
Could be a faulty (O)WI, thinking it still has water left in it 😕
As Bob mentioned, that Askoll pump is a problem and has now been replaced with a different brand.

Thanks Greg. I have replaced these Askoll pumps before but what and where is (O)WI?

    Hya Rob
They are the Water Indicators one is Optical (OWI) and one is just the standard (WI) black round honeycomb unit.
Both are situated in sump below filters at 3 o clock position.
The standard one is prone to crud etc clogging its grid up and if cleaned too rigerously, there is a chance of piercing the membrane behind.
A toothbrush works wonders on that type 😉
